Join us on Fridays during Lent for community building and fellowship! We will have four soup suppers, sponsored by various groups, and two fish frys sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Soup suppers start at 5:30 PM, Fish Frys start at 5:00 PM. Stations of the Cross will be held at 7:00 PM in the church. Stations for children will be held at 7:00 PM in one of the preschool classrooms.
This week's Fish Fry will be provided by the Knights of Columbus: $5 per person ($20 maximum per family). Eat In, Take Out or Drive Thru. Menu: fish, french fries, slaw, hush puppies, fish sticks, macaroni & cheese.
{mosimage}Vollmer Farm will once again offer its Community Supported Agricultural Program (called CSA) to members of St. Catherine’s, and enrollment is now open. The farm provides you with a weekly box (called a share) of organic fruits and vegetables for 20 weeks beginning in April and ending in August. Payment for this is in advance of delivery.
The price of owning a "share” is $21.00/week for a small share and $28.00/week for a arge share. Vollmer Farm will donate 10% of the 20 week share price to St. Catherine’s school. This will be the 3rd year for this program.

{mosimage}The Relay for Life for the North Raleigh/Wake Forest area, will be held May 15th-16th, 2009 at Wakefield High School.
If you are interested in joining the St. Catherine's Relay For Life team you can do so by going to www.WakeForestRelay.com and registering on-line. Click on teams (on the left in the purple box), find the St. Catherine of Siena team and click join team. You can pay at that time or we can collect your registration fee ($10) before the event. Please remember, if you are a survivor there is no registration fee.

YOUNGSVILLE- Earl Corneilous Haga, 67, died Saturday, February 14, 2009. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia, the son of the late Margaret Evelyn Green Haga and Edgar William Haga. He worked in the area for over 41 years in insurance sales and estate planning. Mr. Haga was an outdoorsman and also a very active member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, February 17, 2009 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with burial at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens. A reception at the Church dining room hosted by the St. Catherine's Comfort Committee will follow the burial service.
Mr. Haga is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jane Hutton Haga; sons, Christopher William Haga & wife Elizabeth of Dallas, TX and Michael Matthew Haga & wife Emily of Durham; grandchildren, Caroline Haga, William Haga & Sarah Haga and his sister, Sandra Shelor of Huntsville, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Earl Haga to Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church Building Fund, 520 West Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587 or to the Hunter Education Program c/o Wake County Wildlife Club, 1313 Coley Road, Durham, NC 27703.
