Walk for Life

The Passion of the Christ

The mission of NAPCIS is to assist in providing for the spiritual and academic growth of our nation's Catholic school children directed to the greater honor and glory of God and the perpetuity of His Church on Earth. Fulfillment of this purpose comes from consistent and intelligent adherence to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church and from the implementation of reasonable and demonstrated practices of education! How Does Triduum Affect Adoration?

The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed in the Adoration Chapel on Holy Thursday in a procession after Communion and will remain in the chapel until midnight.  At midnight, all adoration ends until Easter Sunday.

Project Rachel Retreat

If you are suffering from an abortion, experience the love of Jesus Christ at a Project Rachel weekend retreat on May 15-17 at the  Short Journey Center in Smithfield. The weekend retreat, for both women and men, will combine discussions, spiritual exercises, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a Memorial Service, and a Mass of the Resurrection. Participation is strictly confidential and offers a beautiful opportunity to experience God’s love, forgiveness, and compassion. For more information or to register for the retreat, contact Project Rachel at (919) 852-1021 or projectrachel@nc.rr.com. The cost is $95 for lodging, meals and all retreat materials. If you have a financial burden, some assistance is available. Registration deadline is November 13.

40 Days for Life Spring Campaign

{mosimage} This LENT, from February 25 to April 5, our parish family will join cities nationwide for one of the largest simultaneous pro-life mobilizations in history—the National 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life effort that consists of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil, and community outreach. We are praying that, with God’s help, this groundbreaking effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city and throughout America.

Saint Catherine of Siena Requests the honor of all Married Parishioners For a Reaffirmation of your wedding vows On Friday, May 8, 2009, at 7:00 pm, Rev. Philip M. Tighe, Officiating. Immediately following the Mass, you are invited to a reception in the dining room. RSVP no later than April 26 to Tom and Marlene Anton. We will need the following information:

  • Date of Marriage
  • Number attending
  • A picture of your wedding day for display (optional)

Lenten Food Drive

{mosimage} The High School Youth group is sponsoring a Food Drive to help families in need in the local community celebrate Easter. The food will be collected March 22 and March 29 near the Youth Group bulletin board.

Items needed are:

  • Canned Ham
  • Boxes of Mashed Potatoes
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Boxes of Powdered Milk
  • Cake Mix and Frosting
  • Easter Candy
