Dearest Faithful,
The Reverend James G. Dull died late this afternoon in Raleigh after being surrounded by his loving family, our Bishop and several brother Priests. He was quite peaceful today and died shortly after entering into the vigil hour for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I know that his death will be difficult for many of us and there will be counsellors on campus on Monday and Tuesday from Catholic Charities. Let us keep one another in prayer. The following arrangements have been published from the Office of the Vicar General:
Reception of the Body and Vigil for the Deceased: 7 PM on Tuesday,
December 15, 2009 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest. Visitation will continue
Until 9 PM.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at St. Catherine
of Siena Catholic Church in Wake Forest with the Most Rev. Michael F. Burbidge,
Principal Celebrant.
The Rite of Committal will take place in the priests section of St. Joseph Cemetery at Our Lady
of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove following the Funeral Mass.
Mass cards and cards of condolence for the family and Fr. Busichio may be sent to the
following address:
Rev. Salvatore A. Busichio
219 West Edenton St.
Raleigh, NC 27603-1713
Kindly remember Fr. Dull and all those who mourn his death among your prayer intentions and
at Mass this weekend, especially Fr. Dull’s sister Marya Washington (and her husband James),
his brothers Carl (and his wife Linda), and John (and his wife Helen) and Fr. Busichio.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him, may his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.
Father Philip Tighe
